About Scott G. Hannah<\/h2>\n

Scott Hannah was the founding President and CEO for the Credit Counselling <\/span>Society\u00a0 (<\/span>CCS) when it opened its doors in 1996 through until 2023<\/span> <\/span>at which time he retired<\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span>A <\/span>focused vision combined with a passion to help others, ensured CCS\u2019s humble beginnings flourished into the organization it is today. <\/span>Scott brought energy and passion to the world of <\/span>personal <\/span>money management<\/span>, financial education,<\/span> and credit counselling <\/span>and thousands of Canadians<\/span>\u2019<\/span> financial well-being has been improved as a direct impact of Scott\u2019s commitment to this work.<\/span> Sadly, <\/span>Scott passed away in June<\/span> 2023<\/span>, but<\/span> not a day goes by where his <\/span>influence cannot be felt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/h2>\n

Must be a Grade 12 student planning to attend a full-time program at an accredited post-secondary institution.\u00a0 Verification of acceptance and\/or enrollment is required before the award is presented in September.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Residency: Must be a Canadian citizen or have Permanent Residence status in Canada, and living in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, or the Territories.\u00a0 Proof of citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A panel of judges will assess submissions <\/span>based upon<\/span> content,<\/span> innovation<\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>originality<\/span> <\/span>and <\/span>the applicant\u2019s<\/span> ability to <\/span>demonstrate<\/span> the importance of personal financial wellness<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
